The first postdoctoral fellow at the Postdoctoral Research Station of Zhejiang Wanglin Biotechnology Co., Ltd. has completed their station tenure.

On November 20, the Postdoctoral Workstation of Zhejiang Wanglin Biotechnology Co., Ltd. held the exit defense session for Dr. Qian Shaoping. Attending the event were Xu Shuiyuan, a member of the Party Leadership Group of the Jiangshan Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau and Director of the Social Security Center; Liu Yunli, Section Chief of the Talent Development Section of the Organization Department of the Jiangshan Municipal Party Committee; Zheng Xiaolin, Section Chief of the Professional and Technical Section of the Jiangshan Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau; Professor Mao Jianwei, Principal of Zhejiang Industrial Vocational and Technical School; Professor Tu Song of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Bioengineering at Xiamen University; Professor Sheng Kuichuan of the College of Biosystems Engineering and Food Science at Zhejiang University; Professor Zhang Wenbiao of the College of Chemistry and Materials Engineering at Zhejiang A&F University; Senior Engineer Dong Dayi of Zhejiang Wanglin Biotechnology Co., Ltd.; Chairman Wang Fang of Zhejiang Wanglin Biotechnology Co., Ltd.; and General Manager Cheng Hongcai of Zhejiang Wanglin Biotechnology Co., Ltd.

Dr. Qian Shaoping, a postdoctoral researcher, delivered his exit report titled “Preparation, Properties, and Mechanistic Study of Bamboo Charcoal‑Reinforced Biodegradable Polyester Composites.” The expert review panel fully commended Dr. Qian’s performance and achievements during his tenure and posed in‑depth questions regarding the significance of the research topic, the translation of findings into practical applications, the study design, and the selection of research subjects. Dr. Qian provided thorough responses to the experts’ queries.

Finally, in accordance with the procedures of the exit defense meeting, the review panel expressed full appreciation for Dr. Qian Shaoping’s research work during his postdoctoral tenure, noting that his research documentation was complete and his data were robust, that he had achieved the intended objectives, and that he had obtained significant results. The findings demonstrate a high degree of innovation and offer important guidance for advancing the preparation, performance, and underlying mechanisms of bamboo‑charcoal‑reinforced biodegradable polyester composites. Following collective deliberation, the review panel unanimously approved Dr. Qian Shaoping’s successful completion of his postdoctoral term and provided constructive comments and recommendations for his future research endeavors.

Following the completion of the evaluation, the postdoctoral fellow reflected on their two-year tenure and delivered a thank-you address. The host institution arranged a group photo to commemorate the occasion.
