On December 13, 2019, the application submitted in November 2018 by Zhejiang Wanglin Biotechnology Co., Ltd. to expand the permitted uses of vegetable carbon black to include “soy products” and “fried snacks and nuts” was officially approved by the National Health Commission and formally announced in its No. 6 Announcement of 2019.
